Wilus has started to develop core technologies for Wi-Fi 7, the next generation of wireless LAN technology. This effort builds on Wilus’s successful track record developing Wi-Fi 6 technologies, which resulted in a strong Wi-Fi 6 patent portfolio.
In April 2019, the Wi-Fi 7 R&D project suggested by Wilus was selected as a national project by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), which will conduct research on key Wi-Fi 7 technology areas through 2021.
The project will be carried out through a consortium of Wilus and network operator SKT, with Wilus taking the lead in technology development and standardization, and SKT promoting technology commercialization.
