The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA), a Korean standards development organization, has designated members of the WILUS R&D team as ICT international standardization experts. WILUS standards experts actively participate in the development of various core standard technologies.

The TTA’s mission is to support ICT standardization experts in order to enhance Korea’s national competitiveness.

WILUS Inc. CEO Dr. Jin Sam Kwak has been designated as a candidate member of the professional examiner corps that advises the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB).

Professional examiners are outside technical experts who act as advisors to the IPTAB based on their specialized knowledge and experience. A new amendment to the Patent Act allows presiding administrative judges to designate one or more professional examiners to participate in the patent trial process.

Dr. Kwak’s selection as a candidate member indicates his strong reputation for in-depth technical knowledge in his fields of specialty.
